Royalty intelligence for artists and the people who manage them

Know what every song earned, and what it's still owed.

NJYN follows every statement your labels and publishers owe, song by song. When one doesn't arrive, you see it, with what it's likely worth.

Example with invented data

No statement. No money. No one notices.

Royalties arrive as statements from every label and publisher, each on its own schedule and in its own format. Nobody tracks which ones should have come. So when one never arrives, your books just show zero.

How NJYN finds it

Knowing whether anything is missing means checking your contracts against the statements that arrived, and your statements against your co-writers'. NJYN does that for every song, every period.

Example with invented data

  1. Every statement that should exist.

From the contracts you enter, NJYN knows who owes a statement for each song, to which recipient, and how often. When a period passes without one, it shows up, with the songs it should have covered.

  2. What it's likely worth.

Where there's evidence, NJYN estimates the amount: from the song's own history, or from a co-writer already paid for the same song, whichever is higher.

  3. Advances, paid back statement by statement.

Every recoupment is tied to the statement it came from, so you always know how much of an advance is left, and which statements paid it back.

For artists

Your songs. Your numbers. No asking around.

You wrote the songs. You shouldn't need a spreadsheet, a manager's afternoon or an email to the label to know what they earned.

  • What every song earned, across every label and publisher, in one place.
  • Only your share. Your co-writers' splits stay private, and so do yours.
  • When your advance is paid back, and when the money starts reaching you.

Example with invented data

It started as a spreadsheet. Then another one.

We started NJYN while managing a handful of artists ourselves. Their royalty data was everywhere: statements from every label and publisher, catalog data from streaming services, contract terms somewhere else again. Knowing whether anything was missing meant comparing it all by hand. Mistakes slipped through, and a statement that never came was easy to miss entirely.

So we built the tool we needed. We use it every day.

  • Artists see their own numbers, not their co-writers' splits.
  • Statements and contracts are never shared by public link.
  • Database and app servers run in Frankfurt.
